Who I am
WCB Media is a Meta advertising business based in the United Kingdom, run by Ben White. For anything in this policy, contact ben.white@wcbmedia.com.
WCB Media is the data controller for the information described here.
What I collect
Only what you give me, and only what I need to do the work:
- Your name, email address and phone number if you provide it
- Your brand name, website and social media handles
- Business details you enter on the audit form, such as approximate ad spend and revenue ranges
- Anything else you choose to write in a message or email to me
I do not collect payment card details through this website. If you become a client, invoicing is handled separately and payment details go to the payment provider, not to me.
Why I use it
- To prepare and send the ad audit you asked for
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call
- To provide the service if you become a client, and to invoice you
- To send you occasional emails about WCB Media services, offers and advertising insight
- To meet legal and accounting obligations
The lawful bases I rely on are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing that contract, my legitimate interests in promoting the business to relevant companies, and where required, your consent.
Marketing emails
By submitting the audit form or contacting me, you agree that I may email you about WCB Media, including service updates, case studies, advertising insight and offers. I may also contact you by phone about your enquiry.
You can stop this at any time. Reply to any email with "unsubscribe", or email ben.white@wcbmedia.com, and you will be removed. I will still contact you about work in progress if you are an active client.
I do not sell, rent or share your details with third parties for their own marketing.
Who else sees your information
I use a small number of service providers to run the business. They process your information on my instructions only:
- Jotform, which hosts the audit form and stores submissions
- Email and calendar providers, for correspondence and scheduling
- Accounting and invoicing software, for clients
- Website hosting, which processes standard server logs
Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where that is the case, transfers are covered by the safeguards those providers have in place.
I may also disclose information where I am legally required to.
How long I keep it
Enquiry and audit information is kept for up to 24 months from our last contact, then deleted. Client records are kept for as long as the relationship lasts and then for six years afterwards, which is the period UK tax rules require for financial records.
Cookies and this website
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies of its own.
Two third parties are loaded on these pages. Google Fonts serves the typeface, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Jotform provides the audit form, and may set its own cookies when the form loads. Their privacy terms apply to that activity.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:
- Give you a copy of the information I hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information
- Restrict or stop how I use it, including stopping marketing
- Provide your information in a portable format
Email ben.white@wcbmedia.com and I will respond within one month. There is no charge.
Complaints
If you think I have handled your information badly, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
